Duck Creek Planting Project

On Wednesday, our junior students rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty planting 1000 native trees and shrubs by the Duck Creek stream that runs through our school. It was a fantastic collaboration between Porirua City Council, the Parents' Association and the Enviro Club. Students even made tags for their plants, so they can keep tabs on them as they grow! A great initiative that will reap the benefits in years to come. Thank you to Mr Ray Vowles for organising this project and to everyone who pitched in and made it happen!
